Welcome, International Visitors!

Please, remember that English is NOT our main language. Posts written in English will not be a regular feature here... unless you REALLY want it.

Well, many of you, my international friends, might have ended up here because you saw my link in someone’s comment Box, or because Technorati told you I’ve linked you here. The thing is you probably didn’t spend much time here, since everything is in Portuguese. Well, Bravenet and Blogpatrol have been telling me that about 30% of the daily visits here are from you, my international friends. That’s about 2 of you everyday! Lol

So, my purposes (this tag might give me extra readers!) with this post are welcoming you and also giving you something to read.

So… welcome!

This is the blog for the Eduardo Mano Band, a Brazilian worship ministry that’s been together for 3 years now. We’re in the process of recording our first EP (which by the way, isn’t a popular trend among bands here in Brazil) and also, taking over the blogosphere. Now that was just a joke.

Besides music, we all have our daytime jobs and we’re currently studying. Three of us are studying theology, and two of us are reformed Christians (I know you were wondering).

Our main influences are Charlie Hall, DC*B, Shane & Shane, Caedmon’s Call, Derek Webb and also a bunch of other guys from Brazil and abroad. Of course, we sound nothing like them.

I would tell you to go to our MySpace page to download some MP3, but they are very lo-fi, songs recorded from rehearsals. Wait till our album is ready, and we’ll give you some freebies. Who knows, we might even recording something in English!

Well, last but not least, here is the band’s line-up:

Eduardo Mano – acoustic guitar and vocal
Fabiano Bispo – drums and vocal
Gustavo Nagel – acoustic guitar
Dilon Jr – bass and vocal
Andre Maciel – electric guitar

That’s about it. Hope you liked it. If you did, feel free to comment or e-mail us.
